رَعَاكmay He protect you اللهُGod هَذَاthis وَقتُa time of ضَيقِhardship
وَقَدand indeed ذَهَلَhas grown heedless الصَّدِيقُthe friend عَنِof الصَّدِيقِthe friend
May God protect you; this is a time of hardship.
God protect you, these are hard times
And friend has indeed grown heedless of friend.
When friend forgets about friend
وَأسوَاقُand the markets of المَتَاجِرِtrade كَاسِدَاتٌstagnant
فَلَيتَso, if only كَذَاكَlikewise أسوَاقَthe markets of الدَّقِيقِflour
And the markets of trade are stagnant;
Markets of trade are stagnant
so if only the flour markets were likewise!
If only the same for markets of wheat
وَإِنَّكَand indeed you أَكثَرُthe richest المُثرِينَthe wealthy يَوماًone day
إِذاwhen أحرَزتَyou win شُكرَthe gratitude of بَنِيthe sons of حَرِيقِHariq
And indeed, you will be the richest of the wealthy one day,
You will prosper most one day
when you win the gratitude of the sons of Hariq.
If you earn the gratitude of Burniq's clan
