O Qutayb, we did say on the morning you came to us:
The morning you came to us, my friend,

How far apart are the one who attained his aim at dawn and the one who
Far, far different is he who meets the dawn

Bahila’s cross-eyed men, through whose rule
from the tribe of Aliah, who lost their domain -
generosity died among them, and wrongdoing lived.
sin lives among them, and virtue is dead.
