اللهGod أعطاكhas given you التيthat which لاnothing فوقَهاabove it
الله أعطاك التي لا فوقَها
وقدand indeed أرادsought الملحدونthe heretics عَوقَهاto withhold it
وقد أراد الملحدون عَوقَها
God has given you that which nothing surpasses.
God has given you that which has no equal
And the heretics sought to withhold it
And the atheists have wanted to prevent it
عنكfrom you ويأبىand refuses اللهGod إلاanything but سوقهاbringing it
عنك ويأبى الله إلا سوقها
إليكto you حتىuntil قلّدوكthey hung around your neck طوقهاits collar
إليك حتى قلّدوك طوقها
From you; yet God insists on bringing it
From you, but God refuses except to direct it
To you, until they hung its collar around your neck.
To you until they bedeck you with its necklace
