Who will vindicate me against a people who have forsaken speech
My excuse is from a group who abandoned virtue
and strayed from its straight paths?

لاnot يرونthey consider الإنسانthe human being قَدْalready نالhas gained حظَّاًa share
لا يرون الإنسان قَدْ نال حظَّاً
منof صلاحrighteousness حَتَّىuntil يكونhe becomes بهيمهْa beast
من صلاح حَتَّى يكون بهيمهْ
They do not think a person has gained any share
They do not see that man has attained a share
of righteousness until he becomes a beast.
