Praise be to God! How often I soar with my resolve toward

Praise be to God, how I climb with determination

attaining the heights, yet God's decree overturns it.

To reach glory, yet God's decree casts me back down

أعلى يعارضُ مسراه فيعكسه

As though I were the full moon seeking the east, while the celestial sphere—the
