اِدأبْpersevere علىin جمعgathering الفضائلvirtues جاهداstriving hard
اِدأبْ على جمع الفضائل جاهدا
وand أدمْsustain لهاfor them تَعَبَthe toil of القريحةthe mind وand الجسدْthe body
و أدمْ لها تَعَبَ القريحة و الجسدْ
Persevere in gathering virtues, striving hard.
Strive to gather virtues diligently
And keep mind and body toiling for them.
And devote to it the toil of mind and body
وand اقصدseek بهاthrough them وجهthe face of الإلهGod وand نفعthe benefit of منwhomever
و اقصد بها وجه الإله و نفع من
بَلَّغْتَهُyou have conveyed them to him وَand جَدَّstrive earnestly فيهاin them وand اجتهدْexert yourself
بَلَّغْتَهُ وَ جَدَّ فيها و اجتهدْ
And seek through them the face of God and the benefit of whomever
And aim through it the face of God and the benefit of those
you have imparted them to; pursue them earnestly and strive.
Whom you have reached and who have striven in it
وand اتركleave كلامthe words of الحاسدينَthe envious وand بغيَهُمْtheir wrongdoing
و اترك كلام الحاسدينَ و بغيَهُمْ
هملاunheeded فبعدfor after الموتdeath ينقطعُceases الحسدْenvy
هملا فبعد الموت ينقطعُ الحسدْ
And leave the words of the envious and their wrongdoing
And leave the talk of envious ones and their hatred
unheeded, for after death envy ceases.
Neglect it, for after death, envy is cut off
