العاذلُ كالعاذِرِ عندي يا قوم

أهدَى لي من أهواه في طَيفِ اللوم

To me, the reproacher is like the pardoner, O people.

He has gifted me the one I love in the apparition of reproach.

لاأعتَبُهُ ان يزرْ في حُلُمي

لاأعتَبُهُ ان يزرْ في حُلُمي

فالسمعُ يَرى ما لا يُري طيف النوم

فالسمعُ يَرى ما لا يُري طيف النوم

I do not reproach him if he visits in my dream.

For hearing sees what the apparition of sleep does not show.
