I mixed so from the purest gold

وكأن ساقِيَها يثير شذا

مسكٍ لدى الأقوام مُنتَهبِ

مسكٍ لدى الأقوام مُنتَهبِ

And its cupbearer seems to stir up the fragrance

As if its pourer stirs fragrance

of musk, snatched up among the people.

Of musk with people who revel and grab
