1. The earth sprawled around it and the sky,
And senility and glory came to it.

2. And guidance was purified by it, so it is for people,
Beauty, mercy and brotherhood.

3. Stand in its plains facing the House of
God and be humble for it is Al-Baṭḥā’.

4. God blessed its surroundings and chose it
Thus, the prophets were purified in its valley.

5. The noble sacrificed and the lenient slaughterer,
Hanif raised them, they grew up hanifs.

6. They raised its ancient House on piety
So the builder became mighty and the building lasted.

7. Holy, faces turn to it,
As long as the dawn appears and night falls.

8. And pilgrims come to it while they are for the
Idols, looting, and for monasteries, chaste.

9. Souls thirsty for certainty so they do not
Quench until that thirst is quenched.

10. And hearts longing for light but are not
Satisfied, except by its illumination.

11. I said to the soul as it loots feelings,
"Be pure and take what you wish."

12. Reverence in the face of awe, in which
The powerful and the weak are equal.

13. O soul, the history of this
Universe contains this purity.

14. O intercessor of people, what interceded with them is not
Right, nor did loyalty help.

15. It is as if I see you in the shadows of the wall
Complaining, so the expanses tremble.

16. In your plaintive whispering to
God, sanctified, protected meanings.

17. Difficulties seemed small to you, with what
Honor your Generous Lord surrounded you.

18. And remember the emigration which time
Adorned with its blessed, pouring radiance.

19. Weakness and disgrace prompted it,
As well as politics, pilgrimage and cunning.

20. They went out striking in the darkness of the night,
A young camel carrying them and an old camel.

21. So ask the cave how it accommodated the two fugitives,
And concealed them, does the sun have concealment?

22. Two of two while their third Lord is with them,
So He is their refuge and protection.

23. Caution was their companion,
And the bare highlands.

24. Whenever the riding beasts slowed down from fatigue,
He cried: “Deliverance is only in deliverance.”

25. And then Yathrib, the trench-dweller, was a home,
And victory was theirs, and loyalty.

26. And remember the conquest, how religion brought it near,
The Helpers gained glory and the Hanifs.

27. O you harbour of revelation, is there a returning
To you and your ancient House?

28. If life had been lenient with us, we would have returned
And love and loyalty guided us to you.

29. So peace be upon you in the Abode of Eternity,
And safety, mercy and praise.

30. Souls returned to you thirsty
So they were quenched, bent down, and were thirsty.
