أَبَيتُ لنفسي الخَسف لما رَضُوا به

ووليتهم شَتمِي وما كنت مُفحَما

I refused humiliation for myself when they were content with it.

I refused ruin for myself when they were content with it

And I left them to revile me, though I was not at a loss for words.
