1. The suppliant asked and drew his eyelids' sword
Until the hearts of people became his children
١. سال العذارُ فسن سيفَ جفونه
حتى غدت مهج الورى أفلاذا
2. Oh his temple, by Allah we were self-sufficient
We need not see you as the beggar pleading
٢. يا صدغه والله كنا في غنى
