1. I saw your intention for guidance as shining bright,
So I hurried hopefully toward you.

2. But I did not find the door of contentment with you
Nor generous gifts from a refuge full of hope.

3. And I found through your virtue whenever
I gathered and came seeking protection - I was saved.

4. So there is no safety except for one whom you protect
And takes refuge at your gates, drawing near.
