1. Do not deny the yellowness of my tears
That the onlooker sees when I weep
١. لا تنكروا من أدمعي صفرةً
يبصرها الناظرُ عند الهموع
2. For they flow down an emaciated cheek
So the color comes from the cheek, not the tears
٢. وإنما تجري على ناحلٍ
فاللون للوجنةِ لا للدموع
