ياO عَبدَʿAbd (name) أَنتِyou (feminine) ذَخيرَتيmy treasure
يا عَبدَ أَنتِ ذَخيرَتي
نَفسيmy soul فَدَتكِmay it ransom you وَجيرَتيand my neighbors
نَفسي فَدَتكِ وَجيرَتي
O ʿAbd, you are my treasure.
O servant, you are my treasure
May my soul and my neighbors be your ransom.
My soul I sacrifice for you, my neighbor
اللَهُGod يَعلَمُknows فيَكُموconcerning you all
اللَهُ يَعلَمُ فيَكُمو
ياO عَبدَʿAbd (name) حُسنَgoodness سَريرَتيmy inner disposition
يا عَبدَ حُسنَ سَريرَتي
God knows, concerning you all,
God knows what is in you
O ʿAbd, the goodness of my heart.
O servant, good is your inner self
نَفسيmy soul لِنَفسِكِto your soul خُلَّةٌan intimate friend
نَفسي لِنَفسِكِ خُلَّةٌ
وَكَذاكِand likewise أَنتِyou (feminine) أَميرَتيmy princess
وَكَذاكِ أَنتِ أَميرَتي
My soul is an intimate friend to your soul.
My soul for your soul is sincere
And likewise, you are my princess.
And so you are my princess
