يَلينُhe is gentle حيناًat times وَحيناًand at times فيهِin him شِدَّتُهُhis sternness
يَلينُ حيناً وَحيناً فيهِ شِدَّتُهُ
كَالبَحرِlike the sea يَخلِطُmingles أَيساراًtimes of ease بِأَعسارِwith hardships
كَالبَحرِ يَخلِطُ أَيساراً بِأَعسارِ
He is gentle at times, and at times he is stern,
At times submissive, at times stern and harsh,
Like the sea, mingling ease with hardship.
Like the sea mingling calmness with raging storms.
