وَأُعرِضُand I turn away عَنfrom مَطاعِمَdishes قَدmay أَراهاI see them
فَأَترُكُهاso I leave them وَفيwhile in بَطنيmy belly اِنطِواءُcontraction from hunger
And I turn away from dishes I may see,
So I leave them, though my belly is drawn tight with hunger.
فَلاso no وَأَبيكَby your father ماnot فيin العَيشِlife خَيرٌgood
