خَليلَيَّmy two friends عِفّاboth refrain عَنfrom سُهَيلِSuhayl بِنِson of سالِمٍSalim
إِذاwhen غابَhe is absent وَاِنبَشّاand both be welcoming إِلَيهِtoward him إِذاwhen ظَهَرhe appears
My two friends, spare Suhayl ibn Salim
When he is absent, and greet him warmly when he appears.
وَلاand do not تَطلُباyou two seek فَضلَthe bounty of اِمرِئٍa man فيin اِستِهِhis anus حِرٌa cunt
إِذاif كانَthere is فيماin what بَينَbetween أَخفَيكُماyour hidden parts قِصَرshortness
And do not seek the bounty of a man with a cunt in his arse,
If what lies between your hidden parts is short.
سُهَيلٌSuhayl جوادٌgenerous مُفضِلٌbestowing favours بِحِراِستِهِwith the cunt of his anus
كَذَلِكَlikewise حَمّادُHammad بِنُson of نِهياNihya أَبوfather of عُمَرUmar
Suhayl is generous, lavish with the cunt of his arse;
So too is Hammad ibn Nihya, Abu Umar.
إِذاwhen ذَكَرانيthey both mention me أَطرَقاthey both lower their heads مِنbecause of جَلالَتيmy majesty
وَقالاand they both say كَريمٌa generous man شانَmarred رُمحَthe spear of اِستِهِhis anus صِغَرsmallness
When they mention me, they lower their heads before my majesty
And say, 'A generous man—but smallness mars his arse's spear.'
لَقَدindeed أَعرَضاthey both turned away عَنّيfrom me وَلَمand did not أَهتَضِمهُماI wrong them both
سِوىexcept أَنَّthat ماwhat عِنديI have صَغيرٌsmall وَقَدand already فَتَرhas grown slack
They have indeed turned away from me, though I never wronged them,
Except that what I have is small and has grown slack.
هُماthe two of them كَلَّفانيthey both demanded of me أَنthat أَكونَنَّI should indeed be أَيِّراًlarge-penised
جِهاراًopenly وَلاand no وَاللَهِby God ماnot خَلَقَHe created البَشَرhumankind
They demanded that I be well-hung,
Openly—but no, by God, He did not create men so.
فَياso, oh لَيتَنيwould that I يَوماًone day وَقَدand already ماتَhas died لَيتَهُits 'if only'
كَماas كَلَّفانيthey both demanded of me فَاِستَراحاso they both found relief فَلَمand so did not أُضَرI suffer harm
If only one day—though that 'if only' is dead—I could be
As they demanded, so they could rest and I come to no harm.
وَهَلand has? كانَever been فانٍone who has perished راجِعاًreturning مِنfrom فَنائِهِhis destruction
فَيَنقَلِبَso might return الماضيthe departed وَمَنand whoever ماتَdied مِنamong غُبَرthose long gone
Has anyone who perished ever returned from his destruction,
So that the departed might return, and those who died long ago?
أَلاindeed لاno وَلَكِنbut حاجَةٌa need بَعَثَتهُماimpelled them both
أَحَبّاthey both loved عَلَيهاfor its sake كُلَّevery أَنكَدَwretched man ذيpossessing عَجَرknobs
No, indeed—but a need impelled them:
For its sake they loved every wretch endowed with knobs.
أَراكَI see you أَميراًan emir ياO سُهَيلَSuhayl بنَson of سالِمٍSalim
وَأَنتَand you are اِبنُthe son of مَنقوشَينَtwo tattooed people دائِرَةِthe rim of الدُبُرthe anus
I see you an emir, O Suhayl ibn Salim,
Though you are the son of two people tattooed around the anus's rim.
لَعَمريby my life لَقَدindeed صاهَرتَyou became kin by marriage to موسىMusa بنَson of صالِحٍSalih
فَماso what? يُحسِنُcan do well الدَجّالُthe Dajjal إِنif كانَhe has قَدalready شَعَرbecome aware
By my life, you have indeed become kin by marriage to Musa ibn Salih;
Then what can the Dajjal accomplish, if he has heard of it?
