يا قُرَّةَ العَينِ إِنّي لا أُسَمّيكِ
أَكنيI speak indirectly بِأُخرىthrough another أُسَمّيهاI name her وَأعنيكِand I mean you
أَكني بِأُخرى أُسَمّيها وَأعنيكِ
O delight of my eye, indeed I do not name you.
O solace of my eyes, I do not call you by name
I allude to you through another whom I name, yet mean you.
