كَيفَhow يَبكيhe weeps لِمِحبَسٍfor a halting-place فيin طُلولِruins
مَنone who سَيَقضيwill spend لِحَبسِfor confinement يَومٍa day طَويلِlong
How can one weep for a halting-place among ruins—
one who will spend a long day in confinement?
إِنَّindeed فيin الحَشرِthe gathering for judgment وَالحِسابِand the reckoning لَشُغلاًsurely a preoccupation
عَنfrom وُقوفٍstanding بِكُلِّat every رَسمٍtrace مُحيلِweathered
Surely the Gathering and the Reckoning distract one
from standing at every weathered trace.
