وَرَضيتُand I was content مِنbecause of طولِthe length of العَناءِthe suffering بِيَأسِهِwith despair of him
وَرَضيتُ مِن طولِ العَناءِ بِيَأسِهِ
وَاليَأسُand despair أَيسَرُeasier مِنthan عِداتِthe promises of الكاذِبِthe liar
وَاليَأسُ أَيسَرُ مِن عِداتِ الكاذِبِ
And after long suffering, I was content to give up hope in him.
And I was pleased by the length of hardship in its despair,
And despair is easier than the liar’s promises.
For despair is easier than the lies of the deceiver.
