يَفخَرُ الباهِلِيُّ أَن جَعَلَ اللَ

يَفخَرُ الباهِلِيُّ أَن جَعَلَ اللَ

هُ لَهُ وَحدَهُ حِراً مِن وَراءِ

هُ لَهُ وَحدَهُ حِراً مِن وَراءِ

Al-Bāhilī boasts that God has made

The ignorant man boasts that God has made

for him alone a vulva at the rear.

Him alone free behind the veil.

وَلَقَد قُلتُ يَومَ زافَ لِمَسعو

وَلَقَد قُلتُ يَومَ زافَ لِمَسعو

دٍ وَأَلقى عَنهُ قِناعَ الحَياءِ

دٍ وَأَلقى عَنهُ قِناعَ الحَياءِ

And indeed I said to Masʿūd, the day he strutted

And I said on the day when he leaned toward Mas'ud

and cast off his veil of shame:

And cast off from him the cloak of modesty:

خَبَّرَتني القَنفاءُ عَنكِ بِشَيءٍ

خَبَّرَتني القَنفاءُ عَنكِ بِشَيءٍ

فَاِتَّقِ اللَهَ في اِستِكَ البَخراءِ

فَاِتَّقِ اللَهَ في اِستِكَ البَخراءِ

“Al-Qanfāʾ told me something about you;

"The tattler told me something about you,

so fear God regarding your foul-smelling anus.

So fear God in covering your shame.

لا تَدَع زِنيَةً وَدَع زُبَّ يَحيى

لا تَدَع زِنيَةً وَدَع زُبَّ يَحيى

وَاِسأَلِ أُختَيكَ عَن لَذيذِ الزِناءِ

وَاِسأَلِ أُختَيكَ عَن لَذيذِ الزِناءِ

Do not forgo a single act of fornication, but leave Yaḥyā’s cock alone,

Do not forsake the adulteress and forsake Zubayr ibn al-Awwam,

and ask your two sisters about the pleasure of fornication.”

And ask your two sisters about the sweetness of adultery."
