O ʿAbd, I have indeed been wronged, and I
O servant, I have been wronged, and yet
am voicing the words of one who yearns or fears.
I speak no complaint, desiring or pleading,
وَأَتوبُand I repent مِمّاof what تَكرَهينَyou (feminine) dislike لِتَقبَليso that you (feminine) may accept

And I repent of what you dislike, seeking your acceptance;
And I repent of what displeases you, so you may accept me,
and God accepts the good deeds of the penitent.
For God accepts the good deeds of the repentant.
