أَبلِغTell حُباشَةَHubasha أَنّيthat I غَيرُnot تارِكِهِleaving him
أَبلِغ حُباشَةَ أَنّي غَيرُ تارِكِهِ
حَتّىuntil أُخَبِّرَهُI tell him بَعضَsome of الَّذيwhat كاناhappened
حَتّى أُخَبِّرَهُ بَعضَ الَّذي كانا
Tell Hubasha that I will not leave him
Tell Habashah that I will not leave him
Until I tell him some of what happened.
Until I inform him of some of what has passed between us
قَدmay نَحبِسُwe hold الحَقَّwhat is right حَتّىso that لاnot يُجاوِزَناit passes beyond us
قَد نَحبِسُ الحَقَّ حَتّى لا يُجاوِزَنا
وَالحَقُّand what is right يَحبِسُناholds us فيin حَيثُthe place where يَلقاناit meets us
وَالحَقُّ يَحبِسُنا في حَيثُ يَلقانا
We may hold fast to what is right, so it does not pass beyond us;
We may detain the truth so that it does not go beyond us
And what is right holds us wherever it meets us.
And the truth detains us wherever it finds us
