فَكَفُّكَso your palm قَوسٌa bow وَالنَدىand generosity وَتَرٌa bowstring لَهاfor it
فَكَفُّكَ قَوسٌ وَالنَدى وَتَرٌ لَها
وَسَهمُكَand your arrow فيهِin it اليُسرُease فَارمِso shoot بِهِwith it عُسريmy hardship
وَسَهمُكَ فيهِ اليُسرُ فَارمِ بِهِ عُسري
So your palm is a bow, and generosity its bowstring.
Your hand is an arched bow, dew the bowstring
And your arrow carries ease; so shoot it at my hardship.
Your arrow in it has fortune, so shoot it my troubled one
