غَضَبَthe wrath المُلوكِof the kings وَنِيَّةَand the intent العُبّادِof the worshippers
غَضَبَ المُلوكِ وَنِيَّةَ العُبّادِ
And one who allots, among keen blades and spears,
And one who apportions between sharp swords and spears
the wrath of kings and the resolve of men.
The wrath of kings and the intent of worshippers.
فَإِذاthen when أَبوAbu (father of) دُلَفٍDulaf أَمَدَّreinforces بِذِكرِهِwith mention of him
فَإِذا أَبو دُلَفٍ أَمَدَّ بِذِكرِهِ
جَيشاًan army كَفاهُhe spares it مَؤونَةَthe burden الإِمدادِof reinforcements
جَيشاً كَفاهُ مَؤونَةَ الإِمدادِ
Then, if Abu Dulaf should reinforce, with but his name,
Then, when Abu Dulaf lends aid through mention of his name
an army, he would spare it the burden of reinforcements.
To an army, he spares it the burden of reinforcements.
