O full moon of the dark, separation from him has wasted my body away.
O full moon of the dark night, whose parting melted my body!
He bade me farewell; my patience vanished when he did.

باللهby God عليكupon you أيwhat شيءthing قالتsaid
بالله عليك أي شيء قالت
عيناكyour two eyes لقلبيto my heart المعنىtormented فأجابso it answered
عيناك لقلبي المعنى فأجاب
By God, what did they say—
By God, I implore you: what did
your eyes—to my tormented heart, that it answered?
