Your followers have banners in the farthest wildernesses.

Your party in the farthest adversity has partners,

And from You come signs in the minds of lovers.

And from you at the door the lovers have precedents,

وعن قدسك السلعي الجلال تنزلت

وعن قدسك السلعي الجلال تنزلت

شؤنٌ لها في الكون محورٌ وإثبات

شؤنٌ لها في الكون محورٌ وإثبات

And from Your holiness, Salʿī [unclear] in majesty, descended

And from your holy glorious majesty revelations descended,

Manifestations with an axis and an established reality in the cosmos.

A matter for it in existence an axis and assertions,

يلوذ بذيل الفضل من عزك الورى

يلوذ بذيل الفضل من عزك الورى

ويشمل أصناف البرايا العطيات

ويشمل أصناف البرايا العطيات

Creation seeks refuge from Your might at the hem of grace.

The creation takes refuge in the tail of grace from your glory,

And gifts encompass every kind of created being.

And it includes all kinds of lands gifts,

وأنت الذي ترجى لكل عظيمةٍ

وأنت الذي ترجى لكل عظيمةٍ

إذا غلغلت في الحادثات البليات

إذا غلغلت في الحادثات البليات

And You are the one in whom hope rests in every great ordeal,

And you are the one hoped for every great

When calamities penetrate deep into events.

When turbulence mixes into the terrible tribulations,

إليك انعطاف الخاشعين إذا دعوا

إليك انعطاف الخاشعين إذا دعوا

وكم أسعفتهم من علاك الإجابات

وكم أسعفتهم من علاك الإجابات

To You the humble turn when they pray.

To you the inclination of the humble when they supplicate,

And how often answers from Your heights have aided them!

And how much you helped them from your high responses,

لك الطول والسلطان والأمر كله

لك الطول والسلطان والأمر كله

ومن فيضك الهامي العميم والإغثات

ومن فيضك الهامي العميم والإغثات

Munificence, sovereignty, and all command belong to You.

For you is the height and the sultanate and the command entirely,

And succor comes from Your pouring, all-embracing abundance.

And from your flowing bounty the general and the aids,

لمن يفزع المضطر في كشف ما به

لمن يفزع المضطر في كشف ما به

سواك وكل الخلق يا حي أموات

سواك وكل الخلق يا حي أموات

To whom does the distressed turn to lift what afflicts him,

For who the distressed takes refuge in revealing what's with him

Other than You? And all creation, O Living One, is dead.

Other than you and all the creations you alive inanimate,

تشفع من ترضى وتمضي الذي تشا

تشفع من ترضى وتمضي الذي تشا

وإن رفعت للغير بالزعم أصوات

وإن رفعت للغير بالزعم أصوات

You grant intercession to whom You approve and enact what You will,

You intercede who you accept and you execute what you will,

Even if voices are raised for others on mere claims.

And if for others by pretense voices are raised,

وما تم إلا ما تريد وغير ما

وما تم إلا ما تريد وغير ما

تريد فمعدومٌ له الوهم مرآة

تريد فمعدومٌ له الوهم مرآة

And nothing comes to pass but what You will; whatever You do not

And nothing is except what you will and other than

Will is nonexistent; imagination is its mirror.

What you will so it is non-existent to it the illusion a mirror,

ولا تدرك الأبصار ذاتك والذي

ولا تدرك الأبصار ذاتك والذي

تراه صنوفاً للصفات إشارات

تراه صنوفاً للصفات إشارات

And eyes cannot perceive Your essence; what they

And the visions do not attain your essence and what

See in varied forms are signs of Your attributes.

You see as types to the attributes signs,

تباركت يا رباه قدست باقياً

تباركت يا رباه قدست باقياً

شؤنك يا مبدي الورى سرمديات

شؤنك يا مبدي الورى سرمديات

Blessed are You, O Lord, hallowed and everlasting.

Blessed you are my Lord sanctified remaining,

Your manifestations, O Originator of creation, are eternal.

Your matter oh opener of creations eternal,

ونور سنا علياك غيهب حكمه

ونور سنا علياك غيهب حكمه

عليه بنشر السر للسر طيات

عليه بنشر السر للسر طيات

And the light of Your exalted radiance—its rule is deep darkness;

And light our master over you covers his wisdom

Upon it, in mystery's unfolding, lie folds of mystery.

Mandating the secret for the secret shrouds,

وفي كل هاتيك الرقائق قد بدت

وفي كل هاتيك الرقائق قد بدت

لمكتوم معناك الخفي علامات

لمكتوم معناك الخفي علامات

And in all those subtleties have appeared

And in all these subtleties has appeared

Signs of Your concealed, hidden meaning.

To your hidden meaning from you the hidden signs,

جلا الشك فجرٌ من جلالتك انجلى

جلا الشك فجرٌ من جلالتك انجلى

ولألاء وضاحاً وفي الشك آفات

ولألاء وضاحاً وفي الشك آفات

Doubt was dispelled by a dawn that broke from Your majesty,

Illumination of your majesty shone and for glitterings insights,

And by a brilliant gleam; in doubt lie blights.

And your rule in all the lands effective,

وحكمك في كل البريات نافذٌ

وحكمك في كل البريات نافذٌ

ولو أبرمت في عكس ذاك البريات

ولو أبرمت في عكس ذاك البريات

And Your decree prevails throughout all creation,

Even if you decided against that the creations,

Even if created beings firmly resolve against it.

And your grace flowing general and you never ceased

وفضلك فياضٌ عميمٌ ولم تزل

وفضلك فياضٌ عميمٌ ولم تزل

لبرك في كشف العظائم عادات

لبرك في كشف العظائم عادات

And Your bounty overflows, embracing all; unceasing are

For your blessings in revealing the greats conventions.

Your kindness's customary ways of dispelling great calamities.
