متى قَرُبْتَ من الخمسينَ طِرْتَ إلى

رِحابِ حالي ولاحَتْ فيكَ بارِقتي

رِحابِ حالي ولاحَتْ فيكَ بارِقتي

When you drew near fifty, you flew to

When you approached fifty, you strayed into

the expanses of my state, and my lightning flash gleamed within you;

My current realm, and my lightening flashed in you,

ووُطِّدَتْ لكَ بالإرشادِ مَرْتبتي

ووُطِّدَتْ لكَ بالإرشادِ مَرْتبتي

وأُفْرغتْ بكَ في الأقوالِ ناطِقتي

وأُفْرغتْ بكَ في الأقوالِ ناطِقتي

And my station was firmly established for you through guidance;

My rank was made firm for you through guidance,

And through you my speaking faculty was poured into words.

And my eloquence was poured into you through words.
