لأهلِ بِطاحِ الحَيِّ في سِدْرةِ العُلى

لأهلِ بِطاحِ الحَيِّ في سِدْرةِ العُلى

جليلُ مَكانٍ بالمَفاخرِ باذِخُ

جليلُ مَكانٍ بالمَفاخرِ باذِخُ

To the people of the tribe’s broad plains, at the lote tree of exaltation,

For the people of Bitaah al-Hayy in Sidrat al-Ulya

Belongs a noble station, towering with honors.

A place of great prestige, outstanding in pride

وعِزٌّ وسُلطانٌ ومَجدٌ ومِنعةٌ

وعِزٌّ وسُلطانٌ ومَجدٌ ومِنعةٌ

ورُكْنٌ بأحكامِ البَراهينِ شامخُ

ورُكْنٌ بأحكامِ البَراهينِ شامخُ

And might, and authority, and glory, and unassailable strength,

Of power, authority, glory, and prestige

And a pillar, towering by the dictates of proofs.

And steadfast in the arguments of clear proofs

لهم يدُ فَضلٍ أغْرقَ الكونَ جودُها

لهم يدُ فَضلٍ أغْرقَ الكونَ جودُها

لهم قَدمٌ في منهجِ الحَقِّ راسِخُ

لهم قَدمٌ في منهجِ الحَقِّ راسِخُ

Theirs is a hand of bounty whose generosity has flooded the universe.

Their hands have overflowed the universe with generosity

Theirs is a firm footing on the path of truth.

Their feet are firmly rooted in the path of truth

لهمْ أبداً آياتُ حالٍ جَليلةٌ

لهمْ أبداً آياتُ حالٍ جَليلةٌ

أتَتْ مُحْكماتٍ ما لها قطُّ ناسخُ

أتَتْ مُحْكماتٍ ما لها قطُّ ناسخُ

Theirs forever are sublime signs of a spiritual state;

For them, always, are clear signs

They came firmly established, and have never had an abrogator.

Brought by firm decrees that have no abolisher

مَشايخُ أهلِ الله للقومِ قادةٌ

مَشايخُ أهلِ الله للقومِ قادةٌ

وهمْ لهُمُ في المَنْهجَيْنِ مَشايخُ

وهمْ لهُمُ في المَنْهجَيْنِ مَشايخُ

The shaykhs of God’s people are leaders of the community,

The elders of God's people are leaders for the nation

And they are their shaykhs on both paths.

And they for the people, in both paths, are elders
