مِنْهاجُنا أَوَّلُهُ مَحَبَّةٌ

مِنْهاجُنا أَوَّلُهُ مَحَبَّةٌ

خالِصَةٌ تحكُمُ أَحكامَ الفَنَا

خالِصَةٌ تحكُمُ أَحكامَ الفَنَا

Our way begins with love,

Our path, its beginning is pure love

pure, governing the laws of annihilation.

That rules with the laws of annihilation

وإنَّما أَوسَطُهُ تَحَقُّقٌ

وإنَّما أَوسَطُهُ تَحَقُّقٌ

بشرعِ من حقًّا تدلَّى فَدَنَا

بشرعِ من حقًّا تدلَّى فَدَنَا

And its middle is realization alone,

Its middle is realization

through the law of him who truly descended, then drew near.

Of the law of the one who drew near in truth

وغايَةُ المَسيرِ فيه وُصْلَةٌ

وغايَةُ المَسيرِ فيه وُصْلَةٌ

للهِ دهراً تُكْسِبُ العبدَ الهَنَا

للهِ دهراً تُكْسِبُ العبدَ الهَنَا

And the journey's goal within it is communion

And the goal of the journey therein is connection

with God, forever granting the servant bliss.

To God forever, granting the servant bliss

فالحُبُّ مِعْراجُ الدَّعائِمِ التي

فالحُبُّ مِعْراجُ الدَّعائِمِ التي

ترفَعُ أَلبابَ الرِّجالِ للمُنى

ترفَعُ أَلبابَ الرِّجالِ للمُنى

For love is the ladder of the pillars that

So love is the ladder of pillars

raise men's minds toward their hopes.

That raises the hearts of men to their wishes

فخُذْ قُلوبَ السَّالِكينَ كلِّهِمْ

فخُذْ قُلوبَ السَّالِكينَ كلِّهِمْ

لوُدِّنا وانْهَضْ بهِمْ لحُبِّنا

لوُدِّنا وانْهَضْ بهِمْ لحُبِّنا

So take the hearts of all the wayfarers

So take the hearts of all the wayfarers

for love of us, and rise with them toward our love.

For our love, and rouse them for our love

من العِناياتُ دنتْ لقلبِهِ

من العِناياتُ دنتْ لقلبِهِ

لا بُدَّ أنْ يَصيرَ مُغْرَماً بِنا

لا بُدَّ أنْ يَصيرَ مُغْرَماً بِنا

He to whose heart graces have drawn near

He whose heart was approached by providence

must become enamored of us.

Will inevitably become enamored with us

فنحنُ قومٌ قصدُنا نَبِيُّنا

فنحنُ قومٌ قصدُنا نَبِيُّنا

وسَيْرُنا بكُلِّنا لرَبِّنا

وسَيْرُنا بكُلِّنا لرَبِّنا

For we are a people whose aim is our Prophet,

For we are a people whose goal was our Prophet

and we journey with our whole selves to our Lord.

And our journey, all of us, is to our Lord

وقدْ طَوَيْنا الحادِثاتِ كلَّها

وقدْ طَوَيْنا الحادِثاتِ كلَّها

تَرَفُّعاً عن شَرْقِنا وغَرْبِنا

تَرَفُّعاً عن شَرْقِنا وغَرْبِنا

And we have folded away all created things,

We have transcended all events

rising above our east and our west.

وقدْ رفعْنا همَّةَ القلبِ لهُ

وقدْ رفعْنا همَّةَ القلبِ لهُ

فأُفْرِغَتْ أَسرارُهُ بقَلْبِنا

فأُفْرِغَتْ أَسرارُهُ بقَلْبِنا

And we have raised the heart's aspiration to Him,

And we have raised the ambition of the heart to Him

so His secrets were poured into our heart.

So its secrets were poured into our hearts

فلا تُبارِحْ بابَنا مَدى المَدَى

فلا تُبارِحْ بابَنا مَدى المَدَى

وسِرْ إذا آنَ السُّرى بركْبِنا

وسِرْ إذا آنَ السُّرى بركْبِنا

So do not leave our door for all time,

So do not leave our door for all time

and travel with our caravan when the time comes to journey by night.

And journey, when it is time for the journey, in our caravan

فنفْحَةُ الغُيوبِ من بُرْجِ العُلى

فنفْحَةُ الغُيوبِ من بُرْجِ العُلى

تنزَّلَتْ وشَمِلَتْ لعُرْبِنا

تنزَّلَتْ وشَمِلَتْ لعُرْبِنا

For a breath from the unseen realms, from the tower on high,

For the breath of the unseen from the tower of the Most High

has descended and encompassed our Arabs.

وسَيْرُنا للهِ سَيْرُ المُصْطَفى

وسَيْرُنا للهِ سَيْرُ المُصْطَفى

قَدِ اتَّبعنا دربَهُ بدرْبِنا

قَدِ اتَّبعنا دربَهُ بدرْبِنا

And our journey to God is the journey of the Chosen One;

And our journey is to God, the journey of Al-Mustafa

indeed, we have followed his path along our own.

We have followed his path in our path

فافْنَ بِنا عن غَيْرِنا تحقُّقاً

فافْنَ بِنا عن غَيْرِنا تحقُّقاً

إنَّ البَقاءَ يَنْجَلي بعدَ الفَنَا

إنَّ البَقاءَ يَنْجَلي بعدَ الفَنَا

So, through us, pass away from all but us in realization;

So turn us away from other than us in realization

indeed, abiding becomes manifest after annihilation.

For subsistence becomes clear after annihilation
