يا قلبُ ذُبْتَ تَوَلُّعاً ما هذا

يا قلبُ ذُبْتَ تَوَلُّعاً ما هذا

إِصبرْ وخذْ كَرَمَ الحَبيبِ عِياذا

إِصبرْ وخذْ كَرَمَ الحَبيبِ عِياذا

O heart, you have melted with ardent love—what is this?

O heart, you have melted with yearning, what is this?

Be patient, and take the beloved's generosity as a refuge.

Be patient and accept the generosity of the beloved as shelter

واهرَعْ إليه ولُذْ بأَعتابِ الحِمى

واهرَعْ إليه ولُذْ بأَعتابِ الحِمى

ما خابَ في أَعْتابِهِ من لاذا

ما خابَ في أَعْتابِهِ من لاذا

And hasten to him, and seek refuge at the sanctuary's thresholds.

And rush to him and cling to the thresholds of sanctuary

No one who sought refuge at his thresholds was disappointed.

None has been disappointed at his thresholds, a place of refuge
