رفَعَmay exalt اللهُGod مظهَرَMazhar ابنِson of الرِّفاعِيal-Rifa‘i
أبداًforever فهوfor he لاnot يَزالُceases رَفيعَاexalted
May God exalt Mazhar, son of al-Rifa‘i,
God raised the status of Ibn al-Rifa'i
forever, for he remains exalted.
Forever, for he remains eminent
ولهذاand for this reason رصَّعْتُI studded with jewels ذَيْلَthe hem of عُلاهُhis glory
بدَراريwith the bright stars of مَدائِحيmy praises تَرْصيعَاjeweled adornment
And so I studded the hem of his glory
And for this I adorned the train of his exaltation
with the bright stars of my praises, adorning it with jewels.
With my praise-poems in embellishment
فهوfor he فيamong العَارِفينَthose who know God قامَstood إِماماًa leader
وأَبوهُand his father فيamong المُرْسَلينَthe messengers شَفيعَاan intercessor
For he stood as a leader among those who know God,
For he became the leader of the gnostics
and his father as an intercessor among the messengers.
While his father is the intercessor of the messengers
