كم عاشِقٍ متَلَذِّذٍ
بنَسيمِin the breeze of ريَّاكَyour fragrance الشَّذيsweet-scented
بنَسيمِ ريَّاكَ الشَّذي
How many a lover delights
How many a lover in delight
In the sweet-scented breeze of your fragrance!
Revels amid thy gentle breeze!
وأناand I بِغَيركَin anything other than you لمnot يكُنْbe
وأنا بِغَيركَ لم يكُنْ
وَسَناand the radiance of عُلاكَyour eminence تَلذُّذيmy delight
وَسَنا عُلاكَ تَلذُّذي
As for me, nothing but you
And I by thee have no delight,
And the radiance of your eminence has been my delight.
Although thy zephyr gives me ease.
قلبيmy heart عُبَيْدُكَyour little servant قدindeed سَرىjourneyed by night
قلبي عُبَيْدُكَ قد سَرى
بِهواكَthrough love of you عنaway from هذاthis one وِذيand this one (feminine)
بِهواكَ عن هذا وِذي
My heart, your little servant, has journeyed by night,
My heart, thy vassal, wandered wide
Through love of you, away from this and that,
Allured by love of thee alone,
مُتَبتِّلاًdevoted to worship يَتْلوrecites علىover الthe
مُتَبتِّلاً يَتْلو على ال
مَعنىmeaning فَسُبحانَso glory be to الذِّيthe One who
مَعنى فَسُبحانَ الذِّي
Wholly devoted, reciting over the
Rehearsing, "Glory to the Guide
Meaning: “So glory be to the One who...”
Who hath from idols kept me prone!"
