يدَّعي القُدرَةَ في الأَكْوانِ أَكذَبْ

يدَّعي القُدرَةَ في الأَكْوانِ أَكذَبْ

The claimant to infallibility is a liar; and whoever

Claims power in the worlds is a greater liar.

بَرْقُ وهمٍ في سَمواتِ الهَوَى

لاحَ للشُّطَّاحِ لكن هو خُلَّبْ

A lightning-flash of illusion in the heavens of desire

Flashed before the ecstatic mystics, but it brings no rain.
