You have been generous, O Abu Sulayman al-Tadalli,

With a sword; like it, you too are a sword.

For one like you is associated with every virtue,

And one like me, penniless, is a guest under your protection.

So God's sword is a sword for me, and from me

Injustice challenges the faction of those who harbor rancor.
