Abandon the delusion of the adherents of absolute unity,
Leave the illusion of absolute oneness
And understand the symbols of gathering and separation.
And understand the symbols of unity and separation

Every union is judged false,
The rule of every union is invalid
And outward evidence has already torn it apart.
And the witness of the apparent has torn it

One whose circumstances the days have changed,
He whom time has changed his conditions
And whose hair-parting they have grayed against his will,
And against his will his hair turned grey

Beneath the soil in a sealed grave

Solitude overwhelms him in seclusion

Who urinates under compulsion, and is bent
He urinates oppressed and his worn out body
Toward sleep by his sweat-soaked body—
Twists from his restless sleep

Can such a one be God Himself—exalted is His name?
May the eye of Allah, glorious is His name
Far be it! And this is part of the filth of heresy.
Be exalted, and this is far from blasphemy

So exalt the Creator above the words of one
So glorify the Creator from the words of those
Who ascribes partners to Him, and cast aside this rant.
Who associated others with Him and discard this nonsense

No man unified Allah the Exalted
Who believes in absolute unity.
While believing in absolute oneness
