ضِمْنَ القُلوبِ مَفاتيحُ السَّمواتِ

ضِمْنَ القُلوبِ مَفاتيحُ السَّمواتِ

فاغْنمْ قُلوباً طَوتْ تلكَ العِناياتِ

فاغْنمْ قُلوباً طَوتْ تلكَ العِناياتِ

Within hearts lie the keys to the heavens;

Within hearts lie the keys to the heavens.

so make your treasure of hearts that have enfolded those graces.

So win hearts that have enfolded those favors.

والزَمْ رِجالاً أقاموا في مَنابِرهمْ

والزَمْ رِجالاً أقاموا في مَنابِرهمْ

سِرِّ السَّمواتِ يبدو للبَرِيَّاتِ

سِرِّ السَّمواتِ يبدو للبَرِيَّاتِ

And cleave to men who have taken their stand upon their pulpits:

And cleave to men who have set upon their pulpits

the secret of the heavens is made manifest to all creation.

The secret of the heavens, manifest to created beings.

وخُذْ طريقَ الهُدى عنهُمْ وكنْ معهُمْ

وخُذْ طريقَ الهُدى عنهُمْ وكنْ معهُمْ

لِتَجتلي نورَ أطْوارِ السَّعاداتِ

لِتَجتلي نورَ أطْوارِ السَّعاداتِ

Take from them the path of guidance, and remain with them,

And take the path of guidance from them, and be with them,

that you may behold the light of the states of blessedness.

So that you may behold the light of the stages of bliss.

ففي السَّمواتِ من آثارِ همَّتِهم

ففي السَّمواتِ من آثارِ همَّتِهم

رَقائِقُ كَشفتْ بُرْدَ السِّتاراتِ

رَقائِقُ كَشفتْ بُرْدَ السِّتاراتِ

For in the heavens, among the traces of their aspiration,

For in the heavens, among the traces of their aspiration,

are subtle truths that have drawn aside the cloak of veils.

Are subtle truths that have lifted the mantle of the veils.

تَجلو عَبائِرُهمْ معنى بَشائرِهمْ

تَجلو عَبائِرُهمْ معنى بَشائرِهمْ

وفي العِباراتِ أسرارُ البِشاراتِ

وفي العِباراتِ أسرارُ البِشاراتِ

Their fragrances disclose the meaning of their glad tidings,

Their expressions make clear the meaning of their glad tidings.

and within their expressions lie the secrets of good tidings.

And in the expressions lie the secrets of glad tidings.
