صاح إن مسَّك الزمان بخطبٍ

صاح إن مسَّك الزمان بخطبٍ

مزعج حال عن سماع الخطابِ

مزعج حال عن سماع الخطابِ

O friend, if time afflicts you with a calamity,

If time afflicts you with unsettling events,

Distressing, keeping you from hearing speech,

Distracting you from listening to advice,

فاذكر الله مخلصاً بخشوع

فاذكر الله مخلصاً بخشوع

وتملل ذلا على الأعتابِ

وتملل ذلا على الأعتابِ

Then remember God sincerely, with humble reverence,

Remember God sincerely and humbly,

And writhe in abasement upon the thresholds.

And find solace in thresholds.

واذكر المصطفى أمام البرايا

واذكر المصطفى أمام البرايا

سيد المرسلين عالي الجنابِ

سيد المرسلين عالي الجنابِ

And remember the Chosen One before all creatures,

And remember the Chosen One before creation,

Master of the messengers, exalted in rank,

The master of messengers, the most exalted.

وعليا رحب الرحاب المفدى

وعليا رحب الرحاب المفدى

شيخ أهل الوحا وداحي الباب

شيخ أهل الوحا وداحي الباب

And Ali, with spacious courts, the dearly cherished,

And Ali, vast in knowledge, the redeemer,

Master of those swift to act, and hurler of the gate.

Sheikh of the pious and opener of doors.

وانتجع همة الإمام الرفاعي

وانتجع همة الإمام الرفاعي

علم الشرق سيد الأقطاب

علم الشرق سيد الأقطاب

And seek aid from the spiritual resolve of Imam al-Rifa‘i,

And draw strength from the Imam Al-Rifa’i,

The banner of the East, master of the spiritual poles.

Scholar of the East, foremost of the poles.

وتوسل بجده مستجيراً

وتوسل بجده مستجيراً

وبكل الأبناء والأصحابِ

وبكل الأبناء والأصحابِ

And seek intercession through his grandfather, seeking refuge,

And seek intercession through his grandfather,

And through all the sons and companions;

And all the sons and companions.

فصعاب الخطوب تغدو هباءً

فصعاب الخطوب تغدو هباءً

ويجئَ السرور من كل بابِ

ويجئَ السرور من كل بابِ

Then grievous calamities will turn to dust,

For the difficulties of events will vanish like vapor,

And joy will come from every door.

And joy will come from every door.
