Why has he turned away from me
He is not to blame for my plight
And blamed me unjustly, prolonging it?
Though he drew away and prolonged my night

From my beloved, or boredom?
Of boredom with me, or inclination?

Now that I have come as a supplicant?
When I came to him imploring?

For he who has indulged me

To suspect some wrong is a sin
