ماwhat الَّذيthat which تَطلُبُyou seek مِنّيfrom me
ما الَّذي تَطلُبُ مِنّي
خَلِّنيleave me عَنكَaway from you وَدَعنيand let me be
خَلِّني عَنكَ وَدَعني
What is it you seek from me?
What is it that you want from me
Leave me free of you, and let me be.
Leave me be and let me go
لاdo not تَزِدنيgive me more فَوقَbeyond ماwhat قَدalready
لا تَزِدني فَوقَ ما قَد
كانَhad been مِنof ذاكَthat التَجَنّيunjust treatment
كانَ مِن ذاكَ التَجَنّي
Do not add to my suffering beyond what has already
Do not add more than what has already
come of that unjust treatment.
Been from that torment
كَذَبَlied الواشونَthe slanderers فيماin what
كَذَبَ الواشونَ فيما
نَقَلواthey reported عَنكَabout you وَعَنّيand about me
نَقَلوا عَنكَ وَعَنّي
The slanderers lied in what
The gossipers have lied in what
they reported about you and me.
They conveyed about you and me
بَلَغَsucceeded القَومُthe people وَنالواand attained
بَلَغَ القَومُ وَنالوا
قَصدَهُمtheir aim مِنكَfrom you وَمِنّيand from me
قَصدَهُم مِنكَ وَمِنّي
Those people succeeded and attained
The people have achieved
their aim through you and me.
