تَضيقُ عَلَيَّ الأَرضُ خَوفَ فِراقِكُم

تَضيقُ عَلَيَّ الأَرضُ خَوفَ فِراقِكُم

وَأَيُّ مَكانٍ لا يَضيقُ بِخائِفِ

وَأَيُّ مَكانٍ لا يَضيقُ بِخائِفِ

The earth closes in on me for fear of parting from you;

The earth grows narrow for me because of my fear of parting from you

And what place does not close in on one who is afraid?

And what place is not narrow for one in fear?

وَما أَسَفي إِلّا عَلى القُربِ مِنكُمُ

وَما أَسَفي إِلّا عَلى القُربِ مِنكُمُ

وَلَستُ عَلى شَيءٍ سِواهُ بِآسِفِ

وَلَستُ عَلى شَيءٍ سِواهُ بِآسِفِ

And my sorrow is only for nearness to you;

I grieve only for my nearness to you

And I grieve over nothing else.

And I grieve for nothing else
