لَستُI am not أَنسىI forget جَميلَكُمyour kindness
لَستُ أَنسى جَميلَكُم
كُلَّماwhenever هَبَّتِblew الصَباthe east wind
كُلَّما هَبَّتِ الصَبا
I do not forget your kindness
I do not forget your kindness
Whenever the east wind blows.
Whenever the morning breeze blows
وَقَليلٌand little لِمِثلِكُمfor the likes of you
وَقَليلٌ لِمِثلِكُم
بَسطُlaying down خَدّيmy cheek تَأَدُّباout of respect
بَسطُ خَدّي تَأَدُّبا
And too little for the likes of you
Little it is for your like
Is laying my cheek down in respect.
To spread my cheek courteously
إِنَّindeed يَوماًa day أَراكُمI see you

Indeed, a day when I see you—
A day I will see you
That is a day worth telling of.
That is a day of tidings
