أَشتَهي لاقَيتُ حَينَك
How much I endure from you that I do not
How much I have found in you that I do not desire
desire—may you meet your doom!
When I met you, and the people's eyes gazed upon us
وَعُيونُand the eyes الناسِof people تَستَحare bashful (word begins here)
وَعُيونُ الناسِ تَستَح
ييcompletion of 'are bashful' وَماand how أَوقَحَshameless عَينَكyour eye
يي وَما أَوقَحَ عَينَك
And people's eyes are bash—
Shy am I, yet how brazen are your eyes
—ful; and how shameless your eye is!
May God curse the path
لَعَنَmay ... curse اللَهُGod طَريقاًa road
لَعَنَ اللَهُ طَريقاً

جَمَعَت بَيني وَبَينَك
May God curse a road
That brought me and you together
