لِلمَسَرّاتِof joys طارِدُa dispeller
لِلمَسَرّاتِ طارِدُ
And a companion whose talk
Drives joys away,
مِثلِlike لَيلِnight الشِتاءِwinter فَهfor … (beginning of فهو)
مِثلِ لَيلِ الشِتاءِ فَه
وَit (completion of فهو) طَويلٌlong وَبارِدُand cold
وَ طَويلٌ وَبارِدُ
Like a winter night, for
It is long and cold.
