نَغَصّتُمُyou spoiled حينَwhen غِبتُمyou were away
نَغَصّتُمُ حينَ غِبتُم
عَلَيَّfor me عَيشاًa life خَصيباabundant
عَلَيَّ عَيشاً خَصيبا
When you were away, you spoiled
You saddened me when you were gone
a life of plenty for me.
A plentiful life for me unraveled
فَلَوfor if رَأَيتُمyou saw سُروريmy joy
فَلَو رَأَيتُم سُروري
بِكُمin you لَكانit would have been عَجيباastonishing
بِكُم لَكان عَجيبا
For had you seen my joy
If you had seen my happiness
in you, it would have been astonishing.
With you it would have been wondrous
