و هو إذا ما أن من لوعة

 وكف قلب بين طياته

and a heart stops beating within its folds,

خلف قلبا بين أشعاره

خلف قلبا بين أشعاره

 يسمع من في الأرض دقاته

يسمع من في الأرض دقاته

he leaves a heart among his poems,

He left a heart amid his poems

He left behind a heart amidst his poems,

whose beats are heard by those on earth.

That all on earth may hear its beats
