7. How can I go on when falsehood is religion and nature
And despicable hypocrisy is the bridge to cross?

8. When the corruption of standards has become righteousness
And the enlightened truth is the worst of evils?

9. Speak, O Bashar, with eloquence and poetry
Of light, wisdom and fragrance

10. Say not, “How can light grant vision to the blind?”
None is blinder than he who is devoid of awareness

11. Verily the blind are those darkness has engulfed
In hearts that have become barren in breasts

12. So look upon the world consecrated with a heart
Pulsing with benign, gentle, perception

13. You will see no nightingale singing joyously on the meadow
But bats fluttering in the winds of falcons

14. And the croaking raven causing corruption
With its songs in the absence of eagles
