From inspiration, a copious spring of verse, a meadow fertile for hymns

3. You are the epitome of perfection, humbling peers vanquished and attracting
In politics, a pioneer, when opponents neared, they recoiled

4. Frankness you eclipse, so gently defer they
Such deference born of your greatness, not servility

5. Commanding kingdoms wisely, your rule the widest realm
From Damascus parapets, its bounds Najran northwards tilt

6. On the Gulf's coasts east, to famed Al Qalzam where sets the sun
Without you, stormy Asir, inhospitable land

7. In it remnants of early Muslims, claws unsheathed to claw
Of plagues assailing it, nomad tribes striking unrestrained

8. Letting blood vengeance flow between them as their wont is raiding and looting
No reform arises amid Bedouin nature

9. Barbaric customs, prejudices amongst them run deep
You are the wise diver, examining the root of illness - frightening indeed

10. Certain that nomad rule would fail lest they gather and refine
Spreading religion amongst them - cure for souls' ailments well tested

11. Nothing but true Hanif faith can cleanse those steeped in crooked zeal
When they embraced guidance, souls imbibing his wisdom,

12. Crowding the Quran, reciting prophetic traditions penning
Of an illiterate nation, you brought a people aspiring, seeking knowledge sublime

13. Summoning them towards civilization - they readily aligned
Deserted nomad ways, those desolate abodes now

14. Flourishing towns where crops grow and trade is facilitated
God's soldiers you marshal, leading them to greatness refining

15. Through you they united overcoming the defiant enemy, inspiring awe
Your sharp cutting sword came down on those who transgressed, beating and striking

16. Harmless doves proliferate mosques kneeled in devotion
Lions absent from the din, pouncing readily

17. Yet this guidance dissatisfied some hypocritically accepting
Raising them beyond their worth, the further you drew near, the further they distanced

18. Hitting your hand which raised them up, ungrateful souls
To chaos tilting, pining, snarling bitterly

19. First treason they revealed was in Taif while it stumbled
Punishment, they claimed, was to kill and crucify inhabitants

20. Angered by the Emir's conquest, to Saud they felt amity
The tyrant As-Surur brought his hordes demanding territory

21. You repelled them sullen as they had come, achieving your triumph
That you'd not punish others when they killed then ruined

22. His ancestor, had they forewarned, would have refrained preparing
You stopped them so they don't repeat those misdeeds

23. While you for it continue sparing, your great soul greater still
The hypocrites' trinity plus the plotter atop combined

24. Reform increased their rage for civilization they had no appetite
Marvels of electricity they witnessed, experiencing its wrath in wars

25. They dismissed it as infidel sorcery, beguiling the gullible
You invalidated their claim, exposing their fraud

26. Citing scripture permitting it - they turned to making mischief
Inciting neighbors and allies to invade and loot

27. Emboldened that outposts were built in Um Al Qura disregarding the pact
Iraq more fittingly could have furthered amity and affinity

28. But an order came to them, their hollow argument a mirage
Easily solved through kindness but ulterior motives they harbored

29. Problems without you tackling, we'd have despaired but your vast magnanimity vaster still
You contained neighbors and treated an ailment which lamented while bleeding

30. Offering and warning the rebels, neither bounty avails nor threats intimidate
If they pledge, the next day they violate, promising then betraying, marauding

31. Launching raids out of vengeance, falsely cloaked in the veil of jihad
When extreme in misguidance, you invited them to a conference

32. Stepping aside so they appoint and choose as they see fit
Sincere ones flocked, surrounding a plain too narrow to contain

33. Who but you could rule their hearts, beloved sovereign?
Can a faction compete when throngs of subjects beyond counting arrive?

34. They called for you to reign justly over all and discipline
The tyrants shirked, dissenters factionalized amongst them

35. Their intentions surfaced, their deception exposed though feigning jihad
Not content with killing foreigners, the people of Qassim they ravaged

36. The limit was breached, their audacity despite previous clemency a fine trait
You called the volunteers and they readily responded

37. Battalions inscribed with heroes wherein tales will be penned
Dawn saw its sun rise in blood dyed Sabla

38. Awakening the despots from their stupor, no escape remained
Their dreams and assumptions proved mere mirage

Providence ordained exposure, his downfall instead

55. With yesterday's fortune today beating and prevailing
Seeing you distant in Hejaz, unaware

56. That the Lord of the Throne is closer than you believed
To Wafira they marched satiating greed

57. That houses of war be erected there settling
Sending the invitation to the Deiriya coward

58. Thus calamity by the crow he invited descended
Leaving his son Abdelaziz, his pillar

59. With seven hundred swords in scabbards girded
There Ibn Masaad confronted his tribesmen

60. Vanquishing them, an expert swordsman delighting in play
All seven hundred perished save one

61. A feast on the morrow for eagles and wolves
The loss of his son and supporters distressed him

62. The elite of his people routed and collapsed
Despair's fatal blow left him no recourse

63. Except a final thrust - but who dares strike?
He resolved to face the stalwarts assuming

64. His name struck fear in the stalwarts' hearts
Unaware the stalwarts just the day before

65. Were your stalwarts prevailing, overpowering
No sooner had he approached with his legions

66. Than the stalwarts severed and ruptured the usurper
Sufficiently disgraced by God who humbled his defiance

67. Subjugating him who never imagined such an outcome
Abdicating with dignity despite his arrogance

68. What Deiriya could intimidate stalwarts?
A decree from God executed unfailingly

69. Exalting whom He wills, granting or usurping
Meanwhile, Utaibah had grown complicit

70. In treachery, neither renouncing nor desisting
Until the son of Dahina came inciting

71. Spreading seditious lies and misrepresenting
"He is pacified, he complies, but this one stirs unrest"

72. Dividing the misguided, the ruse exacerbating
You doused them like cool water quenching the thirsty

73. Admonishing them - the sword an excellent disciplinarian
Seized assets will be restored manifold

74. For you bestow on them greater generosity untold
With the troops of God compressing the horizon

75. No pasture can sustain them, springs run dry
Except the downpour from God quenching you wherever you headed

76. Pouring rainclouds abundantly watering your ground
A raincloud of generosity you are, nourishing them,

77. And a raincloud from God's heaven refreshing them with drink
Until you reached Batna and your troops dug in

78. To confront the enemy, all sides covering
Horizons too narrow for their masses

79. Terror gripped even the vastest tracts
They were prey for the eagles' talons

80. Victims for the hawks' swooping attacks
By God's wisdom first they rebelled

81. Arrogant, though the smallest brigades humbled them
By God's wisdom they finally conceded

82. To those they shunned on grounds of waging jihad
Turbans encircled them, palms outstretched greeted them

83. Children recognizing their cowardly Deiriya chief
Yesterday denied, today he rides the illusion

84. Aircraft when he travels, it is perceived
So God shames him, to face trial summoned

85. The English handed him over reluctantly conceding
As if he lives loathing he'll soon be interred

86. Disgraced, buried in dirt, vanquished
They flanked three in shackles and grimaces

87. Losing wealth, families, aspirations collapsed
You achieved manifest victory over them

88. Backed by providence, glory's floats accompany you
Yours is clemency despite might, innate to your nature

89. For innate qualities inevitably prevail
While people disagree on your wisdom and clemency

90. The vile think your gentleness is weakness
The vile are tempted by your generosity

91. The vile are endeared by your benevolence
Pouring your millions you gifted them

92. Would the soil be any less arid or begin producing?
Others granted some of their own provisions

93. Your bounty had they been denied, would have starved
They deemed your clothing gifts mere vanity

94. Corrupting them, your lavish silk so coveted
We blame but every stance reveals your sound judgment

95. Your path progress occurs when leaps are dared
You founded an age of advancement through wisdom

96. Guiding securely as you confidently strode
First providing security - a priceless boon

97. The spirit reviving the kingdom it repairs
Bolstering it with justice, ruling by scripture

98. Surely God's rule is nearest to justice
Introducing effects of civilization, spreading

99. Its virtues until they seeped into our veins
Most wondrous of what I witnessed and saw

100. Were your eagles aloft, shrieking praise of your name
Iron eagles inscribed with your name took flight

101. Singing the name of Ibn Saud rapturously
We will see these realms elevated to rank

102. Alongside the greatest nations who value and fear
Your body is the soul of its life, truly

103. So revive and live that the era revives, thrives in you
