1. His body mounted upon the yellow
He grew there, adorned by martyrs and gardens
١. قويق على الصفراءِ ركِّبَ جسمُهُ
رُباه بهذا شُهَّدٌ وحدائقُهْ
2. And if the summer's heat departs from his body
Feeble, yet winter suits him
٢. فإن جَدَّ جِدُّ الصيفِ غادر جسمَهُ
ضئيلاً ولكنَّ الشتاءَ يوافقه
