رَجَعَتshe returned وَقَدand already كادَalmost الخِلاجُthe lead-rope يَلينُslackens
رَجَعَت وَقَد كادَ الخِلاجُ يَلينُ
Until, when Raqd lay off to one side of them both,
Until when he slept, she turned away from them both,
she returned, and the lead-rope had almost slackened.
She returned, and the darkness was almost softened.
